Our beautiful Scarlett, who was saved from a dumpster last month, has crossed the rainbow bridge. Scarlett was doing so well – as you can see, her eyes were clean and clear, her skin was healing and fuzzy-wuzzy hair growing back (thanks to great medical care, and her special spa treatments received at Golden Paws Grooming in Humble). Outwardly, Scarlett was blossoming. However, inside she was not. What originally appeared to be a mammary tumor turned out to be lymphoma, and on her way to her last vet appointment, Scarlett went into acute respiratory distress and had such a grim prognosis, that we had to let her go to save her from suffering. We are all saddened by the loss of this beautiful girl, who had such a promising future and finally learned all about love in her final weeks on earth. Thank you to foster family Gene, Kris and Skylar. Thank you to everyone who helped with Scarlett’s medical expenses, and thank you to the prayer blanket ladies for making such lovely prayer blankets for Scarlett (one of which she is wrapped up in her photo). <3
Sweet Scarlett when she was found living in a dumpster.
